The Beemster is a polder and municipality in the Dutch province of North Holland. The trees on the ring dykes are typical for the Beemster, they can be found along the entirety of the dyke surrounding the municipality. It is this sight that truly reflects the character of the polder. In this series Marco displays this unique environment through the use of long-exposure photography and advanced black-and-white conversion.
